Eric Taylor

Eric Taylor

Eric Taylor is a professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is also affiliated with CESifo and the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard. 

Taylor studies the economics of education, focusing on labor and employment relationships in the education sector, and teaches courses in applied econometrics, personnel economics, and education policy. His research on the teacher workforce has included questions on hiring decisions, job design, training, and job performance evaluation. His work has been published in the American Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Review of Economics and Statistics, and Journal of Labor Economics; and featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Education Week

Taylor was recognized for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring by the Stanford GSE in 2013.
